How common are proto roms in pins?

The first trade fair of the year used to be the atei at earls court so early games ended up here. Often with proto software

Had an f14 with proto roms in, upgraded to the new revision. Made the game easier as on the proto roms you had to lock each ball individually. On the latest rules the first lock light gives you two locks now. I remember the original roms were marked “PROTO” or “PROTOTYPE”

Most of the proto rom machines I've seen have been System 11.

I did have a No Fear with proto roms though.
