high speed getaway off with a bang on switching on

A while ago I switched the hsg on and heard a loud bang;On switching off and back on the m/c played good and signs of any damage. not apparent.Yesterday the same thing happened on switching on again a loud bang and then off andon again and the m/c was ok .Checked boards for any damage and nowt found.WHAT is going on what do i look for?any hints gratefully accepted yours billy butler.

Its not the speakers/amplifier making a loud bang on switch on is it?

You could try unplugging the speakers before you turn it on next time to see if it goes away.

This just sounds like the common speaker pop from WPC, I cant remember now if it does it on or off as I have a Pinsound in Getaway and a home made circuit to stop the pop in my Funhouse.

Thanls for replys all seems settled now although i am wearing ear muffs when switching m/c on. Cheers WB.
