Can anyone give me any ideas about how to solve the issue of my TOM generator humming away loudly and I mean loudly, it's driving me nuts, would rubber washers help?

Is it definitely commg from the transformer? You could unplug the speakers to make sure it isn't coming through there.
Check that it's bolted down to the cabinet nice and tight.

Someone suggested to me a few years ago to hit the transformer with a hammer if it hums. Don't know if this is a good idea as I never tried it in the end.
