Hi all, I need some help sourcing parts in the following pics.
First up is rivets used on ramp "flaps" brackets etc.

Next is a male male idc connector. White part between 2 female idc's.IMAG0433.jpgIMAG0429.jpg

Thanks.

That's known as a 6 pin Z-Connector. I'm pretty sure Andy Netherwood would be your man http://www.pinballmania.co.uk

A lot of people suggest just getting rid of them though, and joining the interconnecting wires. That eliminates one of the potential causes of reset issues when the 5v drops below the threshold due to dodgy connectors.

Thanks Paul, I'm actually looking to fit a few to replace connector block and spade terminals used in some of the wiring. It's for GI and the cables go quite some way so it would be a pretty big job for a relative novice. Just thought these with new idc connectors would look more standard and professional.
I think pinball mania is offline over the festive period so I'll hold fire before contacting Andy. Can't blame him really, everyone needs time away from it and to switch off.
I was also concerned about buggering up the colour coding if I did replace wires, though I suppose as long as I label stuff or correct the diagrams it would be fine.

Would small pop rivets do for the ramps as opposed to the standard ones?

why not replace them with a suitable male and female molex block connector

I wouldnt use pot rivets they look horrible

I could use molex but then I'd have to buy the crimping tool just for that when all the other connectors are idc. Also some of the idc have the cable passing through then going elsewhere. Can this be done with molex, as essentially I'd have to cut the wire and put 2 ends into the 1 crimp when I think the crimps are specifically sized to the wire?

The rivets aren't actually for the ramp flap but for 2 brackets on a ramp that use the same rivets. The brackets are light to pop rivets wouldn't be as obvious there as on a blued ramp flap. Was just looking for an easy to find and do solution.

No uk suppliers for the rivets I could find. Pinrestore.com are good if you need them.
