Guns & Roses drop targets not resetting

Hi all,

I was playing Guns & Roses tonight and noticed both 3-bank drop targets weren't resetting. In test mode the coils won't fire, there are no blown fuses and everything else works, any ideas?

It may also be a hairline crack on a connector solder joint somewhere..

Ok so quick update, all fuse and holders are fine (I think I replaced the holders) I don't know why I didn't notice before but the slings are also not working

Transistor? Or would the slings be on a separate one

Retest f5 and f6 on the power supply pcb.

F5 & 6 show 41.7V both sides of the fuse. Gaz I think (and I am sure Andy will correct me if I'm wrong) but each solenoid has its own transistor so for 4 to go down would be shocking, even for me!

Check voltage at all coils. Red wire carries the voltage around those coils. Check for break in red daisy chaining.

So should there be permanent voltage on the red wires to the coils?

yes mat voltage all the time at coils my guess is a wire off in the daisy chain

Red wire supplies the drop target resets, pop bumpers, and slingshots. Check all of these.

Sorted, you were right there was a wire off one of the pops. Thanks for all the advice and its another bit of knowledge to add to the problem solving bank
