Picked up a Getaway HS2 from a fellow forum member, mainly as a restore but also to compete with my brother who has one in Australia.
I'm sure the previous owner won't mind me saying it needed some love and attention, very faded cab, inside was very grimy, and basically in need of a face lift. Mechanically and electrically very sound.
Inspired by other restorers work I look at on the forum, I set about stripping the cab to smooth timber, strip anything metal and clean and fill all dents scrapes and chunks missing. Prime, paint, sand, paint, sand and paint!
Lots of powder coating, inside and out, and a fresh set of official stickers from Planetary Pinball.
Cables wrapped in red cable wrap, new rubbers and I'm just about back in business.
First test game rewarded me with a redline mania, and a decent score... Love this game.
Will post more pics as I fettle and finesse... But wanted to share the results of my efforts.
