I am looking at the board in the backbox and I would be very grateful if someone could tell me what colours the wires are that supply power to the lamps in the three pop bumpers and the three lights on either side of the playfield. They are the lamps that stay lit all the time. (The game plays fine, it is just the lamps that are out).
Thanks....

If they're not CPU controlled, it will be one of the connectors on the PSU, could you not use trial and error to find it?

Try J9 on the backbox interconnect board.

Never rule out the obvious.May Robo-war had NO GI - turned out to be ALL GI lamps were blown.
Put your multimeter on lamp holder and check for the voltage
Drawing shows fuse 1 to fuse 4 are GI circuits.
Page 110/111 of pdf manual shows GI circuit input power at 2J6 on interconnect board, playfield outputs a 2J9.But if you had a problem there, you would have no GI at all

All fixed. Thanks guys.
I checked all the bulbs etc and they were OK. I also looked at J9 and that looked fine too, no burning or loose wires, but as I replaced it I noticed a wire hanging loose and a quick check of the pdf manual showed that it had come from J9.
For once an nice quick and simple repair, so a real big thank you to Carl and TYHO.....
