This might be common but my new (24 year old)
T2 blows the mains fuse now and then on start up, the machine had a european unfused 3 pin plug and rather than use an adaptor i fitted a uk 3 pin plug and looking at the label on the back of the cabinet it states 4amp power consumption so i fitted a 5 amp fuse but i think the big transformer fitted in the base of the cabinet draws more than that on starting. has anyone come across this before? I realise i could fit a 13A fuse but being both a fireman and electrician i always like to protect circuits and appliances with the lowest fuse suitable what do you guys reckon?

Out of interest. All of my pins have 13amp fuses fitted. Is this harmful or should I change to 7a

One of my pins tends to blow a fuse on start up (Data East Time Machine). It's caused by a current inrush (or something). I plug the machine into an ordinary surge protected adaptor from B&Q. Completely sorts the problem.
