I am looking to move on a Funhouse pinball machine for a friend who is looking for something a bit newer and basically easier to maintain than a 30 year old machine. He just wants to play not fix !

Ideally a standard Stern Indiana Jones would suit him but open to offers of other potential trades. Will definitely sell for cash/money /transfer IF i can find Ian an Indy that is nice !

The Funhouse is in decent condition in my opinion and plays very well. The only known fault as i type this is no sound /speech. I have new chips arriving soon which should sort the problem. the sound board itself i have tested in my Bride of Pinbot and it works fine. Speakers have all been tested OK too.

The playfield shows signs of wear and is certainly not anywhere near top class condition but it`s still a decent one and it does the job . Cabinet and backbox i think are above average . Cabinet protectors are fitted and the legs/levellers/bolts are in very good condition. All locks work, keys included with an original manual. Flippers are nice and strong having been rebuilt not long ago. Lighting is a mixture of LEDs and standard lamps. Rudy works perfectly. Display works perfectly. Playfield rubbers were replaced recently. A couple of stand up targets i have noticed move to the side after a few games, the bottom DOG target and the left hand side S(TEP) blue target. They still still work fine but it is a bit annoying ! Anyway it is a fast lively game that if it`s your cup of tea you will love playing.

I have now ordered up two new stand up targets to replace the above mentioned ones that kept moving to the side, they just annoyed me too much !

Thanks ,
John.,

That’s my old funhouse.. Shoots well, had a few issues with Rudy’s eyes that Chris B managed to fix. John, good luck with your trade!
Yep it sure is Kenny, thankfully no issues with Rudy in any way shape or form but the CPU board gave a bit of bother which had to be changed for a fully working one at some point. But that is the way with pinballs isn`t it there is always something waiting to go wrong !

First choice as i had previously mentioned is a Stern Indiana Jones. My main concern is getting something for Ian that he likes a lot and is preferably a bit newer than Funhouse.

Update on the Funhouse sound/ speech problems. The new chips arrived today and have been fitted and we have a fully working pinball again !

The machine is still up for a trade swap. Please let me know if you have anything to offer part exchange or swap. At the moment the machine is NOT up for a straight sale.

If no pinball of interest is offered this Funhouse will head back down to Manchester for the owner to play and enjoy .

Thanks,
John.

I have now ordered two new stand up targets to replace the ones i mentioned moved after playing a few games. It just annoyed me way too much so i will get them fitted as soon as they arrive.

I have also had a right good few nights playing a number of games on this Funhouse and touch wood it is playing really well. It has taken a while to get here but at last it feels worthwhile !

It is like any pinball machine , when you are playing and scoring well you tend to like it that bit more than when you are hitting your head off a brick wall trying to get a good score.

This Funhouse is no longer available for trade, no decent offers were made for a trade so it is going back to it`s owner.

I have now moved on to his Star Trek TNG which i have sorted out the faults on it and it plays brilliantly so consideration may be given to a part exchange swap on that one. I will post photos tomorrow of the TNG.

thanks,

John.
