Funhouse multiball question

When you get my game ready for multiball (it is midnight, you have locked two balls, rudy's mouth is open and he is snoring) but then lose the ball, on my game you need to "re-lock" as the game goes back to 11-30 and Rudy wakes up again. The two locked balls remain in the upper playfield in the locked position.

I have checked the lock switches and they seem to work ok

Is this correct please ?

Thinking about it, I have it in tournament mode. This prevents ball stealing. And makes the game a bit harder. So makes sense.
