Over the last couple of weeks my Fish Tales has been resetting, usually during multiball. It's increased to the point where starting a game would reset the game.

I'm ****e at diagnosing the electronics but I do own a multimeter so hopefully I can get this fixed. Help!

AS the Legend says,a lot of the time it can be the main power connector supplying the 5volts.Try reseating that.
Some people jusmp in saying bridge rectifiers and the caps, but I would look at that connector first

I had something similar on my FT. Turned out to be one of the power connectors between 2 of the boards.

As Poi suggests, try reseating them see if that sorts it.

Think this happened on my mates FT, it was a diode that fell off a coil around the reel area.,
The legend fixed it so maybe he could chime in here and correct me if I'm wrong

Ok, bumping this thread.

I had the resetting issues a couple of times on my Creech when in multiball (couple of times in several hundred games so no biggie).

Fired it back up today after NLP pinball fatigue and now about every other multiball its happening, game goes off for a couple of seconds then back on. Its only ever happened during multiball.

Have tried re-seating the ribbon between the two boards but no joy.

Any suggestions? I don't have any spare ribbons to try and replace it with at the moment.

Thanks

Mate, if you search the forum for reset issues there are countless threads on them.
I always post the stock answer from me which is reseat the short ribbon connector.

Grizz then copies and pastes Andy Netherwoods guide to checking the 5v.

And so it goes.

It's a massive common problem on wpc games.
