Hello Pinball Enthusiasts!

We’d like to introduce ourselves here in on PinballInfo.

Some might know us already but for those who don’t we’re Freddy’s Pinball Paradise, one of the biggest distributors of pinball machines and parts in continental Europe based near Frankfurt am Main in Germany.

Since our founding in 2013 we’ve been responsible for the availability and promotion of many manufacturers outside of the US, one of our milestones has been that we’re the only location outside of the USA that the Pinball World Championships have been held at twice (2013 and 2023).

With a showroom housing around 200 games from classics to brand new titles that is open for the general public on the last Saturday of each month, we’re focused on spreading the joy of pinball to the masses.

We’re distributing American Pinball, Barrels of Fun, Pinball Brothers and Pedretting Gaming from the very beginning of each of those companies.
In addition to that we’re distributing Jersey Jack Pinball (since 2014, formerly for all of Europe) and Chicago Gaming Company (since 2017).
We’re also an authorized Stern dealer for 10 years.

The UK has always been a solid customer base for parts throughout the years which unfortunately almost vanished due to Brexit.
Since we know that there still is demand in the UK we decided to register an account here to keep you updated on the various specials we offer throughout the year, which is something just the German forum had benefitted from thus far.

Good to have you here. Can you confirm if you are now able to sell and ship Stern machines to the UK? I understand that this was previously prohibited by Stern, but it sounds like the rules have recently changed.

If you are able to ship machines to the UK, could you please let us know the approx shipping costs?
 
Freddy I think most UK buyers will feel it’s long overdue to have another option for the UK pinball market, if you genuinely appreciate the significance of people buying a £10k product from you and can make them feel like you care about their purchase and want the overall experience to be an exciting one rather than miserable then you will do well.
 
Hi everyone,

first of all a huge thank you to all of you for the welcoming reception here, it's good to know that our reputation in the UK seems to be as solid as it is here in continental Europe.

To answer some questions that came up:

Do we ship games to the UK?
-Yes we do if the manufacturer allows it.

The only drawback with this currently is:
You'll need a customs agent or company to have your game shipped to as our carrier of choice requires a valid VAT ID for UK shipments.
We're working on a solution for this that'll make things as easy as shipping it anywhere else over here but this might require some time.
Concerning shipping costs it would depend on the game (weight/value). We'll need to have that quoted individually currently, since the UK is not a standard shipping destination anymore since Brexit.

Other than that you're also free to either pick it up yourself or if you have a carrier of your choice have it picked up by them.

How do you cover the warranty and service?
-To ensure the best possible experience for our customers we unpack all games, update the software to the latest and check them for proper operation and make adjustments where needed before packing them up again as in the original box again for shipping.
-We always honor the warranty periods so during the statutory warranty period, we'll make sure to provide you with the parts needed to get a game back running ASAP and at no charge except any import duties that might be charged which are not in our control.
-If you're the first owner of a game bought from us you'll also receive free phone support for as long as you own the game as we're keeping one model of every title in our showroom.
-Should you need any help with your game, we'll schedule a video call and go through everything step by step on the same title you're having an issue with, we'll speak the same language so to speak. If that doesn't lead to a satisfactory outcome, we'll do everthing in our might to have the game serviced by a professional or will have it serviced in our workshop.

Can you equip my game with mods or accessories?
-Yes, of course! Since we're the distributor of Playfield Protectors and offer many modifications ourselves we're happy to do so! We'll also install customer supplied mods (at your own risk and only if we're 100% sure they won't break during shipping or installation)

With new customers we're charging your VAT upfront and reimburse it after receival of an invoice copy that was approved and stamped by your customs office as we'll need a proof of export.
If you're a recurring customer we'd only need a signed invoice, copy of your passport and the stamped invoice copy later after you've been through customs at the border.

So basically it's not that much hassle.
