Flipper buttons and resistence on B/W flipper opto

Of course the first game I played at Pinfest was @DanLewell 's Road Show 😂
(it's normal to play a game you already have right?)

I noticed straight away the flipper buttons felt nicer under the fingers. Firm, tight, lots of resistence.

I have been displeased by my buttons (compared to my other pins) but assumed it was just how B/Ws worked with the flipper opto boards and no leaf switches to adjust, but the RS at pinfest showed me otherwise.
I asked a few people and apparently there could be a bit of metal to adjust on the flipper opto.
This is mine... No way of adjusting!

Am I missing something?

I took one flipper button out and it has a spring inside.. Maybe these get bad with age and its actually the buttons that offer the resistence?

Advice please 😊

Think this is what you need !

I thought it was something like this, but oddly if you buy the flipper opto board from Pinball Heaven, it doesn't appear to come with the interrupter spring🤔

So is it an intended part? I would have thought it would come with the board as well as be available separately.

I'm still wondering whether the buttons are supposed to have stiffer springs and they get weaker in time?
Buying new buttons is much cheaper than 2 €2.50 interrupters with €16 shipping 😳

Found them at Ministry of Pinball with much cheaper shipping 😊
Plus a ton of other misc bits ordered.
I got some plastics from them a few months back and they came in under two weeks.

Can't believe how excited I am just for different feeling flipper buttons 😂
