Its been mentioned on here that a rubber can be used to replace the fan belt on the caster, the original has finally lost its grip, motor spins fine so all is good, just need new rubber but what size please fellow fishy fingered friends?

Is there an easy trick to swap it out that I need to know or is it a nice easy swap?

Thanks in advance, Jon

I believe a 3 inch rubber will do the job. Personally I’d order the proper urethane one - Andy does them I think for a few quid.

Not too bad to replace iirc . A few screws underneath to allow you to move the mech around, maybe move the wireform , an opto also… been a while since I did one , then you’ll be able to figure out how to stretch the ring around stuff to get it in place.

Useless explanation I know but unless you are a numpty - and I don’t think you are 😁- it will all be clear when you look at it

Thanks Sarge, I'll have a look on mania's site, hopefully not too hard to swap but I can surprise myself making the simplest of tasks into a total clucterf***!
