Fish Tales reel not working

Played my first proper game on this tonight and the reel isn't spinning No loose wires. I've reseated all the cables in the backbox in case anything came loose. Any ideas of where to start while I wait for the seller to get back to me?

It shows the test cycling on the DMD

Could it be just a fuse?

Check the rubber that connects to the stepper motor, mine degraded when I hadn’t used it for a while and would not spin the reel.

Nope. Checked it and swapped it with a working fuse. Red wire on the motor was a bit loose so I've resoldered it but still no luck

Rubber is brand new and connected. Motor isn't running at all for some reason.

Motor wires connect to this board.

What voltages should I be getting? I assume I need to have the motor running in test mode to check voltages?

Stick a 9v battery on the reel motor, check it spins.

Work backwards from the motor. Is it getting a voltage when it's supposed to be turning? It should be getting 12V across the red & black wires.

If not, is the input to that EMI board getting a voltage on the blue/yellow and grey/yellow wires?

Then work back to the driver transistor on the power driver board. It's driven like a solenoid (solenoid 28) from J118 pin 2 for the 12V (grey/yellow) and J122 pin 4 (blue/yellow) to ground it.

It was the first thing I tried when the motor on a cheap Flintstones I picked up wasn’t working. Sure enough, it was knackered.

Thanks everyone. Traced the issue back to a dodgy wire in J118.
