Do I need to remove the hex-headed screws to change out the incandescent flashers?

This has been plaguing me since June!

You can see the flashers attached to the board. I haven’t had that much success just pulling them out (although I’m willing to give it another go) as it’s a bit fiddly, so I’ve left them. They are the only incandescents left on this pin and I’d like to change them out.

If you can’t get hands in there then a pair of long nose pliers on the the lamp holder, grip, twist and out! Replace lamp and back in ..simples!

Remove the board. It only goes back in one way so little room for error really.
I was more worried about removing the hex-headed screws. I thought they were drilled directly into the playfield and, if you remove them, it's hard to put them back in?

If that's not the case, I'll just unscrew them - remove the whole board.

Lots of people leave incandescent flashers because LED ones can be far too aggressive, bright and don't have that nice fade that incandescents have.
If they're under inserts it's not as bad but be wary about flashers you have a direct eyeline too.
I swapped lots back to incandescent on Black Rose because it would blind you and you'd lose the ball🤣

Lots of light boards and lamp holders are screwed into the playfield and it's normal to take them out to get to the bulbs. Just don't overtighten and strip the holes.

These ones are under the inserts.

The ones above the inserts have already been replaced with LED super-bright (strobing) flashers. I have a blue one behind the coil and another blue one behind the ‘stretch the truth’.

I appreciate this is not to everyone’s taste, but I like it.
