Not watched that video but read somewhere it was due to only one company is allowed to fix them, basically company monopoly's and politics. One company gets rich and the rest of us getting ****ty ice cream experience :D

no sympathy for anyone who frequents mcdonald’s. that’s it nothing more to say. 😂😂
I know what you mean, never go anymore now the kids have moved on but the other day we had a long day travelling to collect a machine with nothing to eat and that grand Big Mac with bacon was amazing😂

Sounds about right to me, I'm familiar with the business model from my time in medical imaging. The manufacturer of one of the MRIs we had installed in a couple of locations decided to raise the annual maintenance cost from ~£40k to around ~£120k one year.

When I worked there, the main reason it would be broken was it took ****ing ages to clean. So the guys who did the night shift (during which everything is supposed to get cleaned) start it early.

It's a good few hours, not including getting distracted by other jobs.
It's obviously more noticeable because there's normally only one ice cream machine - whereas the grills, vats etc. are multiples or close enough. e.g. If the fry vat goes down, fries can cook in a chicken vat.

Let's see what the video has to say 😁

This has been brewing for some time and only applies to the US market as far as I can tell.

Taylors machines wasn't it? They have a special config/fw to make them fail regularly. Purely to meet the obligments of the maintainance contract...

I often wonder how more efficient this world would be if most companies was not profit driven. Ie Taylors main focus was to make the best most amazing ice cream machine, not just make as much profit they can out it via sales and ****ty maintenance contracts etc.. The cooperate world is a ****ing scary place when it comes to incompetence and wasted money on greedy contracts etc... all in place to just make more $$$$ never for a better more efficient experience. I swear trillions and trillions gets flushed down the toilet every day due to this bull****.

An interesting watch for what I just flicked through, I'll watch the rest later. It's like having a machine that thinks it's in a union.

Machine - "You're not paying me nearly enough, right, all out, I'm on strike for better pay. Take that management!"

The thing is I think taylors do make a great machine. McDs approached them and asked for the changes and it's a special p/n only available to their franchise. Nuts!
