Found it! Fathom

we can but hope a few worn examples will appear once the haggis remake is released

I thought you were trying to reduce the number of pins you have. This sounds a teensy bit like an increase to me :D

I'm sure something was straight out yhe door to make room for the #1 bally game!
I've got a queue of stuff to go out the door, but I wont let them leave without a new coat of paint, just started on another cab re-stencil - but it's cold work sanding outside in January in Yorkshire. Brrrr.

What will you be doing for the refurb Alan?
I have one myself that I need to get round to, feel like doing as much as I can on this one.
Is anyone restoring playfields these days?
Roger.

Full refurb. it’s a non worker with incorrect mpu board. knackered backglass and cabinet woodwork is damaged, top layer of ply has come away (water damage?) in big style on one side. pf is mylared mainly. some wear at the non mylared top. all mechs look present and serviceable. plastics ok. one crack and discoloured.

plan:

1. get new backglass
2. repair and restencil cab
3. fix, replace boards
4. led lighting - i’ve made my own led bars!!
5. new plastics and drop targets and all upper playfield furniture, posts rubbers, etc. clean/ polish metal parts.
6. new side rails and lockdown bar
7. new door skin
8. polish door frame
9. new legs levellers and bolts
10. new non reflective glass
11. playfield:
choices:
- leave as is - clean and wax
- remove mylar
- have wear repainted
- full overlay
- partial overlay to the top only
- brand new cpr playfield (out of stock at present)
Not sure which way to go yet on the pf.

Just had a look at CPR and $950 puts a new playfield out of reach for me.

Yes, just too expensive for me.
Does anyone restore playfields? The guy I used to use no longer does them.
Or are overlays available anywhere, I haven't located any?
I'll be in a similar situation when I get around to Centaur.

@ChrisFormela might be able to help on playfield resto?

An overlay from Classic Arcades in USA is going to cost you about £240 delivered ($225 + $33 shipping + $59 import vat/duty)

Centaur. Same for me, but I already have a CPR playfield waiting in the wings. I actually bought 2 playfields - might let one go........

If you do decide to let a Centaur playfield go please could you message me and let me know?

I'll look into overlay fitting, though I do have a spare Fathom playfield to mess around with.
