In Progress F-14 tomcat

Fantastic to see a lowly System 11 get this kind of love.

Never owner a Tomcat, but hope to one day. Always enjoy playing it.

The first game I remember playing with flash bulbs, an arcade at Skegness in 1987 when the game was probably in its prime. The light show was/ is simply fantastic

Ace thanks James. Have found the manufacturers link in the US but guess it’s an awkward thing to post. Certainly a lot cheaper than a new playfield.

It's outside edge in the us its the second one we have had this and gorgar both have looked and fitted pukka defently recommend then

Cracking. My project 14 landing shortly with a terrible mylar mess and worn field so this is definitely a great solution. Had never heard of it til now so was thinking a new playfield or a lot of sticky work and paint repair would be needed. This does look the mutts!

Add a rottendog to replace the battery leaked MPU board and we’re sorted!

Little update

Cracking! Coming along a treat. My CPU board off to be fixed and new playfield should ship in a few weeks from Germany. Be the first time completely stripping a playfield.

The case looks amazing. New decal artwork complete for the sides? Total sanding and respray back then decals?

You could eat your dinner off the inside! Looks amazing.

She's working and in the line up but it still needs a becon moter and I want a cpr back glass but it's on hold while I have been building my pin room bigger

Ah cool! Great news. My CPU board repaired now and just waiting for a new PF to arrive from Buthamberg in a few weeks then it's all hands to the pumps.

What was you method for restoring the case? Sand down, then fill, spray and apply decals? It looks amazing inside and out. What materials did you use for this part of the job?

Thanks in advance!

Re. the backbox beacons; it's a de**il, but original fitment of the plastic domes was Red, White, Blue, from left to right. To fit the patriotic theme, I suppose. It's not as if there are separate drives for each beacon.

Where do you get replacement backglass from? Mine has a cheap plastic film that clips onto the glass.

Cheers!
