Doubt I'll ever do it, but I've got an Embryon here which I've decided to keep. The 'problem' is that the operator who first sited it, routinely painted his cabinets in his own livery so that he knew they were his. So under a few layers of gloss there is 'probably' the original design. I think I already know the answer, but does anyone have experience of removing over painting, to reveal the original paintwork?

There was a thread on ukvac recently, where a taito field goal cab had been over painted. The guy removed the paint using autosol, revealing the artwork beneath. I don't know what sortoif paint was over the top of the original stuff though. But it worked well.

Tho to be fair it was probably Paint over vinyl....

Maybe this can provide some ideas...

I guess it depends on the paint used and if it was dis-similar or the same as the original - if the same i suspect that it's gonna be a mare, as it'll be near impossible to remove and distinguish between the layers.. :(

Good luck!!
