EM paint effects and backglass preservation

hi,



I have a 1977 Zaccaria Aerobatics, which is in very good condition.



The backglass looks absolutely perfect - until it is switched on, then a crackled effect appears.



Pardon my noobiness, is this the effects of age, or is it a zany 70's paint effect ?



If it is the effects of age, is there any way I can stop it deteriorating further ?

Sounds like the paint has crazed. It is a sign of age and may start lifting it you don't do something about it.
