I picked up a Elvis a week ago today, I was looking for around 6 months and was prepared to have anything now, was even looking overseas and could not find anything.
I ended up finding one in Leeds which was in the pud called Head of Steam, this is the first pin that I have had direct from onsite, so was prepared for a dirty machine that needed work.
The only things I was really concerned about was the cab and playfield wear round the magnet, everything else I know could be fixed, it was also a non skill post.

Very little wear round the magnet, the playfield was stripped the next day and I have been collecting parts over the years, I have had a full plastic kit from a member on here and everything else has come from Pinball Center and Marco.
I didnt order a top playfrield from Marco at the time as thought it would polish up, this is the first bit of acrylic that I have not been able to polish, so can only think it must be made of something else.

The playfield has been cleaned, I always use the good old T-Cut to remove all the grime and get it shining again before I give it a wax.
LEDs from pinball LED, I only use the Premium 2 ones, even in all the GI.
All the outer metal work is at the powder coaters, its a 3 stage process metallic speckle gold which I have gone for and costs 3 times as much as a flat colour would.

Got the gold side blades ready, these will go in last as the palyfield has been up/down 100 times so far !
Have rebuilt the 4 flippers today, not much I can do now until metal work comes back and another order from Marco.

The powder coating ended in a nightmare :(
The parts look red/orange all he could say is I picked the colour, I asked for metallic gold and he sent the sample through a message, but its nothing like the sample.
So all metal parts are now going to be plated, this is something I have not done before, but looking at some of the pictures I think they will come out nice.

Oh dear!.........that’s not good. Sorry to see this Robert. That would look absolutely fabulous on an Iron man.
Hate it when these sort of things happen. Just had a roof lining done for an old Alfa Romeo gtv. It was supposed to be light grey. It came back black........ I feel your pain doode!..........
All the best K.

What a fantastic bit of kit this is, even with the standard speakers it now sounds great with one of the Elvis sound mixes.
