Pending.. Dr Dude project semi working

A project I started last year but since my 3rd child arrived, and having a reshuffle at home, i have no time. I brought this to my works unit and it hasn't been touched since.

I'd rather it get the attention it deserves so looking to pass it on.

I bought it from ebay and probably paid over the odds. Happy for anyone to pipe up if my valuation is wrong as I still consider myself a noob.

Started work on the cab and boards and got it starting a game.

I've not finished off around the coin door with the earth strap, lockdown bar and start button. Menu buttons are faulty so work by shorting the pins.

Replaced the shooter rod and have a rubber kit, lift trim and playfield trim unfitted. Also a new cable and plug.

The playfield needs full on attention with coils mostly needing replacing (disconnected a few), plastics, lamps, posts etc. Not much wear but signs of planking. I'd say its salvageable.

I got this back in November when when there was 2 on ebay at the same time. Coming up to Christmas I barely had the time to work on it nevermind do a shop log. I'm about half way through so far so this is a little run down. I should hopefully be able to update as I go now but things will be...

It's at my work unit In Manchester but I can bring it to Liverpool for Martin collection when he collects RFM.

Playfield looks like full mylar so not bad for that era - you have to cut Sys 11 games some slack on playfield condition anyway. Will clean up fine - with the usual tlc. The Mixmaster original glittery decals need replacing as they disintegrate with age and shed glitter everywhere over time. I had a Dude project a few years ago and had to do the same. Super fun game with a wild theme. Loved the Mixmaster
It's got the usually missing or broken Big Shot figure - thats a result !

I'd say 1700 is pushing it tbh with the issues still needing attention. Coils need replacing / disconnected ?? Rings alarm bells for one. You did ask

It's cool. I appreciate the input.
Mylar has a few small bubbles over the inserts but no signs of lifting on the edges. At least what I can tell so would be best to leave this on.
Some coils are solid and locked on at start up so I cut one leg. Easy enough to repair with a coil and transistors etc.
The mixmaster works but as you said needs respraying and decals.
Pretty gutted when taking the video and the music was playing. Certainly something I want to get my teeth into but short for time and have other projects I'd rather do

I used to have a Dr Dude. Great game. I was told mine was pretty rare too as it had a Diamond Coated playfield which Bally were in the testing stages of using at the time.
