I have a pair of Thai ridgebacks that I want to breed from but now is not a good time due to what’s going on. She came into season nearly 2 weeks ago and been keeping a watch on them.
Last year was a nightmare as we kept them apart and he was going ballistic to get to her, very stressful for all.
They sleep outside at night in an outbuilding with Kennels side by side but indoors in the day.
Last night my wife said what you going to do because they will get it on and I said it Will be ok because she will stay in her kennel and be ok.
Well at 5 this morning my wife woke me as she was getting back into bed saying they were making a load of noise so she got up and found them outside stuck together!
Oh f**k!

isnt it a case of waiting an hour or two and they usually (not always) become unstuck??

Yes I didn’t bother to get up, after about 20/30 mins they part. Happened last year, he got it in her in a flash. Looked away for seconds and they were stuck, was chucking cold water on his balls and all sorts including wedging a broom handle. Well I was risking it as he will bite you in a flash. You can get an injection from the vet that will stop the pregnancy as I had to do it last year as she wasn’t quite 2 yet and too young for my liking, not done this before. I know why breeders only have bitches, what a nightmare.
