Hi Chaps

this may be a silly question how do you turn the brightness down on a DMD ?

i have two machines side by side and one is brigher than the over!

Hi not sure that you can alter the brighness of a dmd, perhaps one is newer and brighter than the other, I think there is a HV board you can buy that can alter the voltage slightly to help dmd last longer or if it's fading or gasing out you can boost voltage a little to gain extra life from it , but dnt quote me on it ... There's others here who know more than me !

Well then maybe it's just the way they have been manufactured? I've seen dmd's at different brightness before with my pins ,it's never bothers me ,unless one of your games has a voltage problem ,have you checked all connections?

I have used this on to bring down the brightness on PINLed displays on new Sterns.

Yep, got some of that in red on me Tron and it's superb. It's probably just a case of the old display being a little tired compared to the new one so not much you can do. These theatre gels are a nice way to get round the problem.
