Can someone explain to me why it is when you have a spare part for a pinball machine that you dont currently need and has been sitting around always getting in the way for the last year or more, but then when you get a new pin that you can use it in it's suddenly now nowhere to be found.

It not like its a small part either, its an LED replacement tube for a Stern SAM machine.

Not sure if this is more or less annoying when you a buy a new part for a pin and while you're waiting for it to arrive you open a box and find the exact same part you've already ordered months ago and forgot about it.

This is why my garage is filled with bits of wood and metal, I know as soon as I bin them I'll need a piece.
I recently used an offcut piece of pvc from my lightblades along with other detritus to help 'break in to' my neighbours house as they lost there keys and husband was asleep upstairs, with the keys on the shelf in the porch.
