DE Simpsons switch problems :|

Hi Guys,

I recently picked up a DE simpsons which has a few switch issues. Im not really sure if its a matrix problem as some switches on every row and column work, however 1 switch makes the whole row light. Ive checked for the usual diodes in back to front, could it be a bad diode on a switch ? does this happen ?

Basically, yes diodes do go wrong and they normally need to be disconnected for testing with a multimeter.

solved this today, problem developed into none of the switches in the column working so changed the relevant 2n3904 and all is now well
