DE BTTF - what have a I done?

I have no idea what’s gone wrong here, and further more how to fix.

I finally got tilt audio board working.
I then wanted to test it in de sw.

When I put back in bttf, I didn’t have it bolted but was careful not to cause a short (but not saying I didn’t)

The cab has a XPIN PSU.

On boot up - a solenoid fired instantly and then it wouldn’t boot.

Screen said memory and coin door.

After turning off and on, the screen would be only semi readable. And can’t start a game.

PSU TESTS.
All test pads test good.
All fuses show continuity.
However F1/F2 fuse leds are not on.
I tested the volts and those fuses using black on screw terminal of psu and red to left or right of fuse.
Both showed 1.6v

This would tell me psu is bad, but have a feeling I’m not testing correctly.

Things I tried: (no audio board installed since)
Booting machine while holding coin door button.
This made the display show 0’s which I believe is a reset. The game loaded after this, started a game but no solenoids &(noticed balls we’re stuck in drain/tray)

Turned off and back on after taking balls out, and back to scrambled screen and heard relays clicking in and off - which I believe was mpu board.

The mpu has 5v led, pia flashes briefly and the other one comes on and off, in time to the relays clicking.
Some times stays on.

For this machine to never have an issue and only after removing and adding tiltaudio back in, I can only assume I shorted something.

But have no idea where to start.
If it’s testing some test points, or replacing a slotted eprom, I can do that. I can do a little bit of soldering.
I assume I’ll need some pro to repair. But I’d give it a little go first.

However I’m unsure at this point which board or boards the problem lies with.

Any pointers would be appreciated👍

It does sound like you shorted something when you dangled the sound board.

F1 / F2 leds not being on confirms this. I think you need to test the Bridge Rectifier (BR) fuses first, see 5.4.3 at https://www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php/Data_East/Sega#Power_Problems

If the BR fuses are ok, then you need to check each diode in the BR as the fuse probably didn't save the BR during the short. Just seen that pinwiki Para 5.5.5 also mentions if no F1 / F2 the check the BR (BR fuses).

It was a bridge rectifier fuse. Thanks
I must of missed it when checking

This fixed the voltages at f1/2
Which are different on xpin psu than normal de.

These fixed the solenoids not working.
Still have some boot problems, and think something is up with psu.
It’s a year old, xpin, used for about 10-20 hours max.

Prior - was Rock solid, never had issue until this happened.

But voltages seem low and improve to a bootable state after 20min approx
