Can the original be repaired. Very simple board usually easily repaired.

I can manage basic soldering but don't fancy trying board repair myself. Thought I'd see if any one had a replacement for a reasonable price rather than a new rottendog or xpin unit.
Looks like I have one sorted but I may well post a pic on a new thread when I can and see if anyone will do the board repair and how much it will cost.

What’s wrong with it. Apart from cracked solder joints, the only thing that usually goes wrong is short circuit TIP36. Repair cost ? £10 plus part £2.50 plus postage. Cheaper than a replacement.

Yeah, one of the Tip36 Transistors has gone with a bit of heat damage around it. I'll get it sent away when I can and with luck it will be ok.
