Creature From the Black Lagoon.

I picked up a non-working machine a few months ago. A couple of weeks ago there were two on ebay at the same time, so yes they come up, but they just don't seem to be up for long.

Good luck!

There are a fair amount that turn up every year. Like most machines you can't find one for loe or money when you're actively looking but then you'll see a bunch of them when you've just bought one

Yup, these go fast and as the Searg highlighted they are in vogue and are having a moment and probably a price elevation to boot (nothing like STTNG though, good luck with those insane 3+k price tags on ebay, get real guys, you are about a grand + out of touch).

I've installed a Pinsound card in mine and it's now basically a 1950s jukebox, started to upgrade some of the sound effects now. It's a good one for the family and the rules are simple and it's a monster game. Just a shame my hologram is shagged...

By the way not to derail this thread but anyone interested in a new holo should email Henrik from Pinball Dreams as he shown an interest to remake these if he has enough orders. There is a thread on Pinside in the last day.

Great game - but lack of 3 ball mutliball is unforgivable :cuckoo:
Agree with that. Great game, lots of features but the 2 ball multiball just doesn't make sense. I don't think I'd sell mine though. Going to try and get a new holo (like everybody else it seems!)

Henrik at pinball dreams doesn't have these anymore. Emailed him and they're completely out everywhere. He didn't even know if they would ever make a new batch of them

He needs circa 100 orders to make it fly, from what I believe, the holos have an estimated lifespan of 10 years, seems like it will be a case of deja vu in future.

£270 for a holo is far to much. A hologram isn't that hard to make you just need the subject (creature in this case)

I'm assuming he already has the model so could knock them out at £10 each and sell a few hundred of them. But I guess 10 at £270 keeps them exclusive and makes loads more cabbage (can't blame him either)

Might see if I can find a suitable creature model an make a few

Exactly, I mean how hard can it be to make them anyway? Can't be that much surely or they wouldn't have put them in in the first place.

There's plenty of various Creature models. If you decide to have some holograms made them count me in and expect to hear the same from lotsa folk here and on Pinside. Go for it dude

I think to get an original creech hologram look, its a case of trial and error with the model. Original model would of be specifically made for the machine. Not just a case of buying a figure off eBay and using that

Found this somewhere

1) You need a license from Universal - The Pinball Factory states that it has paperwork prepared.
2) The master hologram has been lost (probably looked like a piece of dirty glass)
3) The original model is unavailable. It appears that The Pinball Factory has a green one, and there may be another in private hands.
4) No way to get an EXACT duplicate. Which means that the replacements won't be worth so much.?
5) Have to find someone to make the master and reproduce the holos.
6) After all these expenses, are there enough buyers to cover the costs."

Perhaps I'm missing something, but surely whoever made the repros that were available until recently could do some more?
Am I being thick?
