Latest arrival is a Williams Ten Spot.

Seen happier days, but is gradually coming back to life

A few Questions?

The schematic shows a 25c relay - I'm sure I'd have found it by now.. bit strange, but it's lack hasn't stopped progress!

The main Q is about the transformer wiring.
Not seen this before.. (see pic)
There is a (grey) lead soldered to the 125v lug on the primary, this is connected onto the common of the credit relay coil.

But surely the (50v) power is coming from the secondary winding - so how does that work? (Doesn't seem to figure in schematic)
With so many bodges, broken components, bare wrapped wires and bent blades I wouldn't be surprised if it were some weird hack, but surely not?!

Anyone confirm that this is a 'thing' please.? It's my earliest machine to date - so I'm really not sure what to think.

Many thanks in advance.

Ok, looking at the ipdb pic seems to show both an extra relay and a tap on primary side - so the central tap is obviously a 'live' zero point.
Answered my own questions I guess. Sorry all!
