Coil on System 11

One of the coils on the Whirlwind hasn’t got much clearance on the shooter lane mech. It worked on the machine before the refurb started but I doubt it’s right as the coil is the other way around on the IPDB picture.

The question is can I just flip the coil and switch the wiring on the lugs as the diode isn’t on the coil. The circuit would be exactly the same or am I missing something? Apologies if this is a silly question!
