Clear or Smoke Ramp for TAF

Which is better Smoke or clear ramp for TAF?

Are smoke ones rare?

Any time I read pinside they just rave about how much better the clear ramp looks than the smokey one (I think a lot of people as well tend to replace the smokey one with a clear one if they can). I personally like the clear one but that's just my preference.

It's totally up to you.
The clear makes the usually dark top of the table much brighter.
As for rare, to my knowledge they are both readily available.

I replaced smoke with clear and it looks better. As Replicas says, clear makes it all seem brighter, and smoked just looked dirty.

Same on TZ. I have a clear to replace the smokey Joe. Mind you I have had it 5 years and still not got round to it.:-D

I have found a guy with NOS TAF smoke ramps. Anyone interested in one?

The remakes are better because they are thicker. The NOS ramps tend to break easier.

I swapped smokey for clear and it made the game appear cleaner and lighter. As replicas said, they are thicker plastic so should last longer.
