Hi

Is there an effective and quick way to clean wiring looms in situ please ? I am not after beautifully clean, just considerably less filthy than they are now

Remove the cable ties, vacuum them, then use isopropyl alcohol ?

Really looking for the 20 per cent of the work option to yield 80 per cent of the result

Thank you

I'm up for this - we should start the 20/80 restorers club!

This is a good question, on my GOLD BALL I clean the ends of wires individually when I need to know what colour it should be.

I don't wish to knock those who do mega restorations. And I know where the interest comes from. With a Dremel you can make miserable, pitted, rusty crap look like polished silver. I can find myself slipping into thus mode, but i must crack on. It is just like the classic car concours guys who take gorgeous vehicles to shows on the back of trailers

But doing them up is a transitory phase for me, I want to get it done then enjoy playing them
