Time to let my CV go to another that will enjoy its glory. It is therefore now for sale.

Its an early prototype machine (number 34 of 200) with the skinny ringmaster and the different playfield art in very good nick.

I know most pin folk 'in the know' would agree its a fine machine, and that they would appreciate me pointing out its 'scars'. So, here i go; It has some wear to the cab backbox, and to the right flipper button hole, the coindoor is a little bent, and the repainted bit near the ringmaster is good, but not perfect. Under the playfield (i'll have to sort another pic out for this one) the previous owner made a 'fix' to allow the underside ramp to catch the ball. This is basically a piece of card with tape wrapped around it. Always worked well, so i never changed it for something more aesthetically pleasing. Two posts have been screwed into the playfield under the slingshot plastics. You cant see them in play, but its a consequence of the machine being an early prototype model in which later playfields had the holes for the posts completed at manufacture. The backglass main channel plastic has two cracks from the backbox being rested on them in transport. Small creases along the outer edge of the ringmasters metal lid.

Now. The good bits; New DMD, all pop bumpers rebuilt (including the boom balloon and parts of its sub assembly) with new wafers and bodies, flippers rebuilt with purple flippers and rubber. Backbox boards are all good with some transistors replaced by myself in order to get the pop bumpers working again. Legs are nice and shiny, rebuilt shooter rod with polished original knob. Full new plastics set (including the newer 'fat' ringmaster - stops balls from being jammed behind the ringmaster- not currently installed), new dmd surround, fully shopped and cleaned when i first got it, then several 'mini' teardowns to clean and fix issues along the way. Playfield still has some really nice shine to it. Fixed the crackly sound issue the early machines had. Latest home roms installed (this is what makes the machine so good). Very good backbox translite with no damage. Cab graphics are still nice and bright. No damage apart from around the right flipper button (mentioned above). LED's mixed with coloured incandescent bulbs for the lighting. Rebuilt ringmaster motor/gearbox (a real nightmare fix, no more worries there). New balls, several new switches. New flipper buttons (right one not installed due to needing a metal ring that hold on the button). Backbox cannon funtions as it should. New menagarie ball (green, not currently installed). Rebuilt neon starter for the purple tube (2nd hand off ebay usa). Tube is original and in excellent condition. Lots of new white rubbers, although i left some of the standard black ones due to me wanting the area to stay dark (have the rest of the full 'white' kit to go with it).

Now, what does it play like. Well, this pin has so much to offer in terms of raw excitement. Theres some stop and go with some of the modes but they are excellent, especially copycat mode (where you copy a sequence of hits with the flippers that gets faster and faster as you advance....mental it is), Taunts from the ringmaster as you advance through his modes are also great such as: 'granny ringmaster shoots better than youuu' and 'yo momma drives a dump truck'....It can be a very fast game once you stack the multiballs from both the juggler and the high wire (both very exciting modes in their own right) and i would put money on you quivering like a little puppy the first time you get to 'join the circus'....This mode shuts down the lighting of the game and belts out thunder and lightning strike sound effects building into a crescendo that starts the wizard mode...a wizard mode that is out-of-this-world good.....but i wont spoil what happens.....

Anyway, i guess thats a much waffle as i can manage right now, but if there is anything else you need to know or see, just let me know. I want the buyer to be as happy with it as i am. Enjoy the pics....

Russ.
