Hi everyone

Looking to swap out all of my LEDs on my T2 for non-ghosting ones.

However, while I can see many people recommending NG's when I Google it, I don't see much debate about whether to go clear or frosted.

I'd appreciate any feedback, opinion, and experience.

I always go bright natural white frosted.

This works better than NG leds in my experience ….

Different machines react differently to NG leds. My STTNG still has slight ghosts on a couple of leds even with good quality NG leds.

My T2 also still has slight ghosting on a few inserts even with comet NG bulbs fitted throughout.

For me, I generally use frosted white bulbs for all my GI, as clear lenses can cause a halo effect under plastics. And for inserts I prefer to colour match with 1SMD clear as I like the inserts to look bright.

But when it comes to leds, it’s really a personal choice of what you like in your game.

Get a Comet set, always worked well for me.
So I'm hearing frosted for the GI, but for the regular insert lamps, what do you have? Frosted or clear?

I do a rough count of bayonet and wedges, round up, then buy a load of Sunlight frosted.

I do get a few cool whites for any blue inserts and warms for any reds.

Then get an OCD or Afterglow board. No ghosting issues

You can get a non ghosting patch put on the rom to stop that which is a very cheap fix but if you want the LED’s to fade like incandescents then you will need an Afterglow or OCD board which also stops ghosting. Some games need those boards more than others, try the patch first and see if you are happy.
