Ermmmm ebay is best avoided if you want real parts...

1000uf should be standard... it doesn't have to be a panasonic...

Thought it worth asking as most sites seem to recommend going a little larger on caps.

It depends on what the cap is used for.

Schematics says c2 is a 100uf 25v but c1 is a 1000uf 25v, is it deffo c2? Either shouldn't require anything special, so just buy a replacement from a decent manufacutrer at 105c spec (important for the life of the cap).

Just make sure its rated for 25v (or more) and actually fits :P Ie the pin spacing and actual dimensions are compatable. At 1000uf I guess you'll only need to check the actual can dimensions, some are fat and low, others are thin and long / etc.

Putting in a larger cap shouldn't be a problem as all it would so is smooth out the -12v a little more, but with the disadvantage of (technically) more stress on the bridge rec. Which I doubt would be an issue, but worth noting.

Personally if you have something 1000-2200uf 25v+ lurking in the spares box and physically fits, stick it in

Thanks for the reply and help.

Yes its C1, I have C2 on the brain :cuckoo: as I ordered one from pinball mania.

Got the parts through this morning, less than 24hrs from placing the order!

I was going to second that. never buy caps on ebay as there are far too many fakes on there. Looks like you are sorted now though as I'm sure Andy will have something decent.

For future reference, Farnell are the UK's main authoirised distributor of Panasonic caps and they have a high stock turnover, so you know you will be getting "fresh" ones, as caps do have a finite shelf life
