I was thinking of pimping my VPin with new decals but only if it was fairly easy to do.

Does anyone know if new decals, from Retro Refurbs for example, would stick (and stay stuck) to the vinyl wrap that is currently on it or would it need a rougher surface to get good adhesion?

The description says 'Permanent adhesive when set with hot air – no more decal peeling'

I love these Tommy ones:

100% if your going to do it do it right, you need a nice flat surface, the work you put in before will be worth it.

Thanks for the replies, not the answers I wanted to hear but I understand if doing it properly it would need stripping.

I'll leave it as it is for now until I get motivated to have a go at it.

Are these an alternative to the original yellow ones?
Depending how picky or OCD you are, the flag is wrong way around!

If they are cheap enough is it not worth giving it a try on top, surely if the surface is clean it will stick to it,
Potentially, I was going to have a go at one side of the back box and leave it for a while to see how it fared. It's about £180 for the set though.

If the current substrate is good and flat with nothing peeling or dinged/damaged etc then I doubt you'd have any issues - just clean first with isopropyl. You guys on here the experts on pinball cabs and I haven't done one yet, but I deal with a fair bit of wrap/decals for cars and we frequently put one set of graphics/material over another when building up designs for customers.

If it was me (and your base cab and decals are good) I would 100% give it a go.
