Regrettably I have business as well as domestic supplies.

My current fixes die in November. I have just called my supplier - British Gas - that cannot even give me an idea of renewal cost until 2 months before termination.

I contacted bionic.co.uk an energy switiching service.

supply 1 is only 2200 kwh per year. It only gave me one solution. British Gas Lite 1 year deal - 57p a day standing charge plus 95p a unit. Plus vat and taxes.

supply 2 is 5500 kwh per year. The above BG Lite 1 year deal is available. Also Smartest Energy 3yr fix. 31p a day standing charge plus 76p a unit. Plus vat and taxes

Has anyone found a decent business supplier ?

Is Smartest Energy any good ? Or am I just wasting my time with a crappy little supplier that may be going bust soon, leaving me with a load of admin and a real headache ?

Historically I have stayed with British Gas as certainty has value and I am pretty confident that there is a meaningful balance sheet and admin infrastructure behind it

Thanks

I ended up going with Bionic on an improved tariff.

WARNING

Despite the contract only starting in Nov 22 I received an email this month stating that they would auto renew me on a new one in February unless I opted out.

An email was due to land giving me three choices, or I could respond to that email to cancel within three days.

So I called to cancel the whole thing. They do not accept inbound calls. You had to book a call back that would be made within 48 hours.

Anyway, the damned auto renewal is cancelled now.

I am sick of this sh1t. This country did not used to be like this. ANPR type scams. Sharp practices like this etc etc etc
