BSD Sound issue

I've recently picked up a BSD. It has a few issues. I've sorted most of the opto issues but now the sound isn't working.

Admittedly, I've been messing around with power board connectors j116 - j118. The connectors have confusing marking on them - 2 are marked j116 but in the manual these are both listed as being for the coin door.

J117 does the opto boards power. Not sure how altering the configuration on these would affect the audio.

If anyone has a bsd and can send a picture of the correct power board arrangement. Or if you have any ideas why the audio has stopped, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Check the ribbon cables as the signal goes from the cpu via those on j506.
BSD is typical of all the WPC89 setups with power j501 direct from the transformer and j502 from the power driver board. Check here for power which is +5v on J502-1 and j502-2. Ground on J502-4 and J502-5. These come via J114 on the power driver board which feed the power for all the boards.

So if the machine has 5v on other boards, my best bet is to reseat the ribbon

J504 and j505 were the wrong way round and one of the connections had come away.

There a few other issues but I've order replacement homepin opto 10 and 24 boards.

I have the 24 opto board and it is a good bit of kit, with the diagnostics light to help. I had a spare 10 opto board hordes away so used that. Ask any questions about BSD as mine arrived dead and took a bit of coaxing back into life.
