BSD Mist ball ramp lock

Hi guys,

I have a BSD that I need to move on, but need it fully working before doing so. Problem lies with the right ramp not opening up on initialise to load the ball into the right mist multiball lock, ready for the mist feature.
The magnet and motor work just fine, optos seem to be working as they should also, but it just will not load the ball correctly. On power up the magnet goes left to right almost searching for something.
The up and down right ramp also works ok so I'm at a bit of a loss. Any ideas would be greatly received.

Optos, almost certainly. Test them with a phone camera.

When I bought my BSD I had strange issues with mist and number of balls in play etc. Game getting confused when ball drained etc.

Have you tried magnet test in menu?

For me, I just replaced the long opto board under the playfield from @Homepin and I’ve not had a days trouble with it since.

I heard this board is notorious for failing so this was my first point of call. Thankfully that was my issue and all resolved.
