Got my BSD and it has had intermittent probs with the 24" opto switch. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't!! So re-flowed every joint on the board and it starting working again - for a couple of days!! Next I replaced L1 inductor and again it started working for a couple of days!!!

Getting well hacked off with it now. Anyone any ideas what else to do with it - would like to fix it rather than just binning it ?

Cheers Kev

Try changing the connector, both plug and pins...

Yeah homepin board is a last resort - lets hope we can get a fix for it first!!!

Look for breaks in the wires somewhere. My dead optos and switches was due to a wire that had snapped off took ages to find

My Mist multiball was playing up the other day, it indicated problems with various optos not working - turns out it was just bad connections. Sod to diagnose though
