BSD bulb dim

OK, the 'O' bulb on 'VIDEO' is dim on my BSD. I put a bulb in, works ok, then it randomly dims. I've tried switching out LEDs with incandescent, different bulb holder, light sanded the contacts, pulled the bulb connectors up to get better contact but each time it is ok then not.
Just when I think its ok, I put the balls in, replace the glass... works for a bit and then.... dim again.
It's only a small issue but it's driving me nuts because it is a small issue that I can't solve.
It's clearly a poor connection. It works when I press on the bulb socket.
I've tried putting it in on a quarter turn, half turn and full turn.
I've spent the last hour twatting about with it and each time it plays up when I start a game.
Sometimes it doesn't play up at all - kidding me into thinking it is fixed.
Ideas ?

Jon,

Could it be the pins on the connector that are dry joined? Pushing on the bulb holder might be flexing the whole pcb giving the impression that the fault is there.

Maybe try flexing the connector to see if you get the same result. If so, reflow the pins.

This one is fixed - the pin solder had gone dry. Sorted a while ago. Thanks chaps. I have another issue now which looks like a tough one. I'll start a new thread.
