With a heavy Heart as got to many toys and need to down size.

BOP 2.0 won by David Dutton in America and was shipped back to Uk in 1991 with all shipping documents, picture of him with machine, manual etc

Comes with all original parts taken off to make a 2.0.

I am the 4th home us only owner and is in very good original condition. Abit faded on sides of back box. Few small marks. Playfield very good no wear. Translight very good.

With the Provenance, the 2.0 kit and the original condition I think I have price this correctly. It wasn’t cheap when I bought it years ago.

Martin can collect as knows location.

Email me for anymore pics info

£4500.

Donation will be made when sold.

Pictures to follow.

Good price. A BOP in average condition is 2k, the 2.0 kit is selling for 2k - I think you're bang on.

Ok taken lots of pics. Please remember this is original except the bop 2.0 kits so I would say in very good condition. A few very small marks but small. All original bits that are changed for the 2.0 kit are very good condition. Pictures shows how nice it is.

Much of this story has been shared before, but here it is in full.

In 1990 Marie-France and I decided to take a year out and backpack around the world

The final leg of this, with Marie coming up to 8 months pregnant, was across the USA

Ahead of flying into San Francisco we made contact with “the” Dan Kramer, who we had met at Pinball Expo in 1988, when we were on honeymoon

Dan invited us to stay with him, but said that he was just about to fly off to Scottsdale Arizona for a pinball show

“No matter” we said – “we’re free to do what we want, we’ll come with you – see the show and visit some of the local sights including the Grand Canyon, etc”

At the show there was a pinball competition. Qualifying was on a large bank (20+) of BoP’s, with one of them as first prize.

Having been travelling now for 10 months with only a rucksack I was pretty chilled out. I entered of course, but with no expectation of getting anywhere.

To my astonishment I found myself in the final (on Gilligan), up against the then world champion and still to this day the most incredible player to watch I have ever come across, Rick Stetta.
His playing style involved everything from crouching down to the floor to leaping high in the air and his energy was unbelievable.
https://vault.si.com/vault/1992/11/...nic-machines-are-studies-in-acrobatic-assault

To my even greater astonishment I won the final, and the BoP, which was presented to me by the late, great Steve Kordek of Williams

I was immediately surrounded by people offering to buy the game from me, but decided to get it shipped back to England, which cost me in the region of £800 even back then.

I kept the game for many years, and it moved house with us, but eventually (and before there was any indication of there being BoP 2 software) we got tired of it being effectively a one shot game and decided to sell it.

Here’s a short video of the Scottsdale final, and the game being presented to me, which I’ve posted here before

And here’s a video of how the game possibly gave my son Will the spark that turned him into the player he is today :D

I’ve never seen the game again since I sold it, but I’m hoping to run across it again sometime.

Winning that competition still remains the proudest moment of my pinball playing “career” :)

Hi everyone after reading what David has put I can’t sell it and I am going to put it with spangaler to look after.

Hi David I have decided to keep it and spangaler will look after it for me in his line up. Be great for us to meet up and you see and play on your pin again 😁
