I've been spamming up the "Today I worked on" thread a bit too much, and ended up going a bit deeper down the rabbit hole on this game than I initially expected, so here goes . . . .

Particularly happy with how this missing corner of the head unit has come out.

Make a dam for epoxy flood.

Follow artwork in with paint marker and apply fixative and POOF! Repair vanishes.

Resprayed it's bum and got some stainless mesh for the top vents. There was a big sheet of orange acrylic completely covering the top which did look pretty cool on the ceiling when the flashers went off through those big circles. Might cut that down and mount on the inside with vents in the middle.

Just a small one today. Acquired this with a big sheet of orange acrylic covering the top of the back box. Recycled it into some neater covers for the flashers and added some mesh vent in the middle. Replaced the head lock. Waiting on new T moulding to arrive and the powder coaters to hurry up 😊

So the top picture is sorting out the rounded corners at the top of the cab. This era of Bally machines used a lot of chipboard, and the corners of this back box had started to fan out. I drilled a load of 3mm holes all along the T-slot and then injected wood hardener in and left it clamped for a day and it came out great. Back to the original width.

The t moulding arrived, so today I sprayed over the putty repairs on the top and knocked the new T in with a rubber hammer. I think it's looking pretty smart now.

Still waiting on all the metal so I can put the game back together.

It's a funny one. Found lots of pics online with the big sheet of orange acrylic on top, so it looks like it was factory, but then even bally removed it from the brochure shot. It's not even cut the right width for the machine, i.e. it was partially covering the t-mould. Anyway, this should give the right effect for the flashers without having to see the eyesore from the player position.
