Hello

I have a Sega Frankenstein, all working like a dream, but the inside of the machines sides that are painted black are a little scruffy... So really looking for any advice on what paint and how best to apply it, be nice to smarten this up...

Also want to replace the glass... guess I should find a local glass supplier, anything specific I should be asking for??

I've used ronseal black wood stain applied with a sponge to touch up scuffs etc with good results

Glass - you want tempered/safety (for safety ;)) and 5mm thick is the closest to the original imperial
size.

Also when you touch up the sides, do check carefully that no hardware is protruding from the playfield ...edge of a wireform, ramps, plastic parts ....even by a small margin, otherwise it may just damage your nice finish again when you lower it back in !

I've used black shoe polish before to do something similar. One of the liquid ones that come with a sponge attached to the top of the bottle :)

Interesting. I might have some boot polish left over from a search and destroy night mission - nasty business, a rogue TOM that some poor kids Dad had brought home just before Xmas. They 'thought' they were enjoying it ....poor deluded souls.

I took care of it though ... torched the garage, BOOM ! , use yr magic on this be-atch. Unfortunately the fire did spread to the house , there were some burn injuries reported to the occupants but its amazing what they can do in facial reconstruction these days . A shame but there always casualties in war.

Looks like you burned the whole feckin town.
I'd say you are enjoying your work to much Sgt.
Watch out you TOM's sgt is on the war path.

OK well this gives me plenty of ideas :) oddly had not considered any of those options... I assumed some sort of paint and a roller :)

Its only the odd scuff, so maybe these ideas will be enough...

I'm not on the south coast, however Since i originally come from Bristol thats surely gotta be close enough for membership... Oh that and i really dislike TOM... (Nearly as much as TZ!)....

when you first get a Theatre of magic you think it's the best game in the world, you can't understand the dislike it gets, then after a month you understand.:)

Paul .... there is normally a gruelling recruitment process, designed to break applicants both mentally and physically - this includes a 48 hr non stop TOM session which few survive intact.

However seeing that (a) you would almost certainly fail any physical ;) and (b) this is your forum .......an exception can be made in this instance.

That counts my membership out then, I'd be lucky to go an hour before constantally smacking my head on the glass to try and break the hypnotic trance it would be trying to pull me into. I can see it now as soon a the "hit the trunk" constantly repeted over and over and over and I think my ears are starting to bleed.
