Hi all,
Sorry if there has been many posts about this before. This is the battery damage I have found on an Addams family. Is this repairable, or would a new board be the way to go? If repairable, who do people send their boards to for repair in the UK?
Thanks

@myPinballs does board repairs. there are others too on here who do.

PS remember it’s pinfest this weekend so a lot of folk busy and away from the forum for a couple days.
Thank you!

As I clicked "post thread", I did remember it was Pinfest and replies may not be as fast as usual.

A few people fix boards on here, it might be cheaper to get a new one at £150 though...

Firstly this is what I would do ,I would buy a new board and get the machine back working then have a go at repairing that board myself ,just for learning how to unsolder parts and solder parts and also how to neutralise the acid on boards .

With 25 years in this business I would not bother repairing a CPU with leaking batteries.

Even if the damage is slight, something else will fail.

I do have a used one for sale if you want one, or buy a new one from @philpalmer at pinball heaven.

Keep in mind most boards you get as replacement you have to take out your asic chip - make sure you have the correct tool.

Phil.

Not economical to fix this one. If you want this done for whatever reason and are not in a specific hurry I can have a look at it.
