Batman refurb

There is a batman for sale on Facebook Marketplace - seller says the playfield is shot - has anyone used any of the overlays from pinballcentre (are they are reliable seller - I heard there was an issue with one of the EU based suppliers).

If anyone has fitted one, did it play OK afterwards?
Prob not worth the work but, I love a project

You'd need to be brave and sand down the playfield to bare wood. Then apply the overlay/sticker. Slapping it directly on top just won't work.

Not sure if there are any workshop threads of people fitting an overlay but mfresh did a mousin around refurb and used a hardtop on the playfield which should be a similar prep process, which as Scott said includes sanding down the playfield to bare wood, also needs the inserts checking and releveling if any are raised or sunken in the playfield before the sanding is done.
