Trying to get her ready for the League so expending some tlc and new parts.
I was going to post a "please help" message. But I have just cured the thing.
You cannot underestimate how tricky these old girls are ...
There was a problem with the switch matrix. I narrowed this down to switches 4, 12, 20, 28, (36 is not used), 44
All these are on the orange and black wire that comes from the mpu
When you triggered them in switch test, they do not register BUT they mysteriously turned on playfield lamps for the time they are triggered
This is freaky and actually looks like a design feature . .....
Switch 4 turned on the 4 collect bonus multipliers and the Queens chamber string
Switch 12 turned on a few others
Switch 20 turned on the 4 captive orb targets
Switch 28 turned on the power orb release in order targets
Switch 36 is not used
Switch 44 did not work at all, until I lifted the playfield .
So I investigated further and found intermittent shorts on two wires which were going to ground via the playfield hinge mech

All fixed, for now, but what cunning b@stards these games are.
