I had intended this as a light winter project…but as I intended that last winter as well, and I have far too much on to realistically do it this year either, I am offering it for sale.
The playfield is mylared (presumably from new) and is in excellent condition (except in a few places round the edge where the Mylar didn’t reach) also it has lifted by the eject hole, so that would need tidying at least. Adhesion has been lost round the edges of some of the inserts as well.
The backglass is also excellent bar one scratch up near the strobe window, the cabinet is solid but faded.
The game boots up and plays ok, but at the very least needs a deep clean, rerubbering, switches adjusting etc. The displays are all good even though they don’t look it in the pics.
The sound works but the speech is garbled - it all worked when it was last played a couple of months ago, but powering it up for the pictures and the speech now doesn’t.
The strobe works! It sometimes has a life of its own but it flashes when the ball goes into the kick out hole as it should.
I think that’s it but any questions please ask. Difficult to know about price, the market is dead and the game needs work on one hand, great playfield and backglass and Flash Gordons don’t come up often on the other.
On the basis I can always drop it as required, I’ll start it at £2000 ono and see what happens!
